2014 AASA TECHNOLOGY CONFERENCE

Over the last 29 years Tom Frey has enjoyed a varied and successful career in the automotive aftermarket. Starting as a Delivery Driver at 18 and working through the ranks; Store Manager, Store-coordinator, WD Sales Representative, WD Sales Manager, WD Operations Manager, and WD Director of Product and Pricing before joining The Network as Senior Product Manager for Hard Parts in 2006. Tom understands the Wholesale Distribution channel inside out. In January of 2010 Tom was promoted to Director of Information and Technology for the Network and to Vice President of IT at the beginning of 2012.

 

With a background in applying technology to operations, product management, and pricing throughout his career the move from product management to leading the IT department for The Network went well. During his first four years managing IT the Network successfully deployed their Product Information Management system, their Business Intelligence System, EDI services, and is currently deploying an IPO solution. The department also manages a Central Billing Services and Ecommerce solution.

  

Tom as he has been actively involved in our industry associations, attending and contributing to AWDA, AAPEX, NCMA and ATC. He currently serves on the Auto Care Association Technology Committee. He is a Penn State graduate with a degree in Business Administration.
