Mark Schluentz is the Engine Segment Marketing Manager for Automotive Cooling & Lubrication at Sensata Technologies, which supplies sensors and electrical protection devices to the automotive, heavy vehicle, aircraft, appliance, industrial, and HVAC industries.
Schluentz joined Sensata in January of 2013 as the Business Development Manager in Automotive Sensors evaluating markets for organic and inorganic growth in powertrain sensors for automotive and heavy vehicle applications, as well as for alternative fuel vehicles.
Prior to joining Sensata, Schluentz worked for General Motors for thirteen years in various engineering capacities. As a Vehicle Test Engineer at GM’s Milford Proving Ground, he led large scale vehicle tests to collect and analyze dynamic vehicle data via multiple sensors and data acquisition systems. As a Design Release Engineer for GM’s Fuel Cell division, Schluentz led multi-year, new product development projects with domestic and international suppliers to launch sensors and electro-mechanical components for use in fuel cell systems.
Schluentz received an MBA from Indiana University, a Master of Science in Engineering from Purdue University, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University. He holds two patents for sensor designs to resolve freeze-related issues in fuel cell systems.
